Read to the Dogs

Read to the Dogs is a reading motivation program for kids who are learning to read or just need the comfort of a furry friend to help them improve. Sign up for a 15 minute reading slot and sit down with a book and a trained therapy dog. Read to the Dogs kicks off February 17th from 6:30-8:00 pm Registration opens February 10 at 2:00. Lego Building Zone

Every 4th Saturday from 10:30-11:30 am, come to our brand-new Lego Building Zone! We'll have the blocks, you build, and your creation stays on display at the library all month long! The next Lego Building Zone program takes place on Saturday, February 28. See you there!

80s Bash

 

Come on down!

 

The library is having our second 80s Bash! We had so much fun the first time, we're headed back in time again.

When? Saturday, February 7 from 6:00-10:00 pm

Where? Norwood American Legion

What now? 80s music and karaoke by DJ Double Dutch Entertainment, free munchies, cash bar, 80s trivia and costume contests, and a photo booth.

Free entry, but donations of canned goods for the food pantry are appreciated.

Ancestry Is Available at the Library

                          If genealogy is your hobby, we're here to help! Norwood Public Library now has Ancestry, the premier genealogy database, available for use on the library's public computers. Come in and take a tour of your family's history!                                               

Yoga at the Library

 

 

Certified Kripalu Yoga teacher Jean Benvenuto will be offering a six-week yoga class at the library starting Thursday January 8, from 6:30-7:45 pm. All levels of experience are welcome. Bring yoga mat, comfortable clothing, and a bottle of water. $60 for six weeks. Register at the library or by calling 353-6692, or call Jean at 244-7953.

Stories, rhymes, fingerplays, and fun for preschoolers!

Recommended age: 3-5 years old. Grown-ups are welcome to stay, too! Reading aloud and participating in storytimes is one of the best things you can do to support your child's early learning. Please join us!
