Tweens and teens are invited to create blackout poetry at the Norwood Public Library on April 10th at 3:30pm. Blackout poetry, also known as erasure poetry, gives new life to damaged books and old newspapers. Blackout poetry is great for those struggling with writer's block. Take away words instead of adding them, letting the poem emerge.
At the workshop we will create and share our poems with each other. Attendees can take home their finished works or display them at the library. Free and open to the public. All materials provided. Recommended for ages 8 & up.
