Global Music and Celebrations

Norwood Public Library has the privilege of hosting the Common Grounds Connection Club from St. Lawrence University. International students from this club will present music and celebrations from around the world. They will discuss dances. traditions, and the common elements that connect cultures at this family-friendly event. A great educational opportunity!

Mission
The mission of the Norwood Public Library is to assure effective, expanding free library services for the residents of the Library District through educational, informational, and cultural resources and activities.
 

2019 Library Budget Vote and Election Results

The budget propositon for the proposed 2020 budget passed: 177 (Yes); 82 (No).

Trustee Election Majority Votes:

Denise diVincenzo: 211 votes (3 year term)

David Fenton: 195 votes (3 year term)

Stephen Murray: 192 votes (3 year term)

Ballots: 254 Absentee: 8 Total: 262

 

Talking is Teaching Kickoff at the Beach

Norwood Public Library and the Norwood Beach Recreation Department are holding a "Talking is Teaching" kickoff at the Norwood Beach on June 22nd at 1pm. This event will include a board book giveaway, silly singalong, simple art activity, light refreshments, and a storywalk at the beach. Parent-tot swimming signups will also be available.

Budget Hearing and Trustee Election Notice

NORWOOD PUBLIC LIBRARY TRUSTEE ELECTION INFORMATION: Any citizen of the Norwood Library District age 18 or older who would like to run for a trustee position on the library’s Board of Trustees must submit a petition with 25 valid signatures in order to be placed on the ballot.
